I will never forget that day when the doctor in charge of BMT sat down with me in the visitor's room, whilst my son stared at the fish tank and told me that we would need to talk in the near future about transplants.
He wanted to be like him, to survive against the odds, to stay positive in the midst of a situation that could quite easily descend into darkness.
It reminded us yet again that it doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, how much you've achieved – none of us can escape our fate. Cancer levels the field.
This is exactly why I am doing this. It’s not about website hits or getting recognition – that doesn't fit the purpose or me for that matter.
Simplicity. This concept is so underrated in the modern world but the more I explore its potential for a happier life the more I want it. I really need it.
